Lavish NYC penthouse re-listed for $36.6M after price cut

A spacious Fidi Penthouse at 50 West is back on the market for $36.6 million, down from a higher asking price of $45 million earlier this year.

The five-bedroom, 6½-bathroom full-floor spread offers panoramic views of the city skyline and the Statue of Liberty, and comes with a private elevator landing with two entrances.

The first entry opens to a formal foyer that leads to an entertainment space and primary corner bedroom. The other leads to private sleeping quarters, a family room, and a chef’s kitchen.

At 7,137 square feet, the home comes with 70 linear feet of floor-to-ceiling curved curtain wall windows, a fireplace, a formal dining area and a home office.

The main bedroom suite in a separate corner wing has views of the Hudson River and the World Trade Center. There are also two dressing rooms and double en-suite bathrooms with radiant heated floors, showers and soaking tubs.

The kitchen, meanwhile, with dark-stained walnut cabinetry and butler’s pantry, is designed by starchitect/interior designer Thomas Jools-Hansen (who designed One57’s interiors).

The glass tower, developed by Time Equities, is 786 feet tall with 186 units. The indoor and outdoor facilities are spread over more than 30,000 square feet. These include an “observatory” with two grills, as well as a 60-foot lap pool, a sauna, a steam room, and a hot tub.
