Instagram-famous Texas home with Chappell lists for $5.59M

Just outside Dallas, a photogenic slice of farm life is coming to a Monday evening market.

A rustic farm property with a serious social-media following is looking for a new owner as its current move to new pastures.

“It’s a lifestyle,” said Jennifer Horowitz, who bought the 56-acre property in 2014 with her husband, Glenn, who homesteaded the land in the 1800s. “My husband was in the corporate world, working in Dallas, and his experience was such that he loved being able to drive downtown to the Cows and the Stars.”

The compound — which was listed for $5 million in 2022 before being taken off the market last month — is set to relaunch with Douglas Elliman’s Tracy Tutor and Breh Brown for $5.59 million.

In addition to lots of sky, 608 Old Center Church Road also has a helipad, a lap pool, a three-bedroom guest house, a party barn, and a custom-designed chapel. The couple built the chapel both so that Jennifer could “disconnect” from the “she shed” and as a tribute to the church that had previously been on the property—for which the Whitesboro, Texas road was named.

“Their last service was in the 1930s,” Horowitz told The Post, adding that the church was torn down in the late 1950s or early 1960s. “They used to do all their baptisms in our creek.”

Visible from the main house’s front porch, Horowitz’s custom-built chapel is fully furnished with a historic, more than century-old pulpit.

Meanwhile, her husband and sons found their own special place to decompress: a party barn whose attire Jennifer documented On his 48,000 follower strong InstagramAlong with other regular updates about her change of property.

Elsewhere on the grounds is the 3,782-square-foot, four-bedroom main residence—as well as a stocked pond for fishing, pecan trees, a spring-fed creek, several barns, and a commercial-grade fire pit. (All outbuildings are included in the sale, although livestock needs to be negotiated.)

Since completing renovations, the complex has become a popular wedding venue and rental, with past guests including an NFL player, two politicians, a fashion model and a famous golfer – whose names Jennifer is permitted to share. Not there.

It also served as the set for country singer Cody Zink’s “Hurt You” music video. Some “60 or 70” weddings in total have taken place on campus. And although Horowitz doesn’t own a helicopter himself, the helipad has been used “quite a bit” by guests, including brides, who used it to make “surprise entrances or exits,” Horowitz said.
