Eric Adjmi, CEO of Adjmi Apparel Group — which manufactures and distributes brands such as Champion, Danskin and Fila — just raised a duplex Home for $16.84 million in Layton, a new development on the Upper East Side.
Located at 1059 Third Avenue, it’s not exactly Park or Fifth, but the building comes with its own brandy room. The 36-storey tower was built last year, designed by architect Manuel Glass, with interiors by The Frampton Company and Champalimaud Design.
When combined the condo will be 6,132 square feet.
Originally listed for $18.1 million, Adjmi received a modest deal, as per property records, but he’s still rocking his 19th-century Upper East Side townhouse. Adjmi bought 161 E. 63rd St. in 2016 for $11.75 million. But bought a 20 feet wide house. it is now on the market for $11.25 million — down from its 2017 asking price of $14.75 million.

As far as her new purchase goes, it consists of two separate condos on the 28th and 29th floors, and it has some sweet perks.
“This was a very unique opportunity to combine two full floors with multiple outdoor terraces overlooking Central Park,” said Robin Schneiderman, who led sales and marketing at the building for Brown Harris Stevens Development Marketing. The unit also overlooks the East River and the broad city skyline.
The building has two levels of amenity space—including a 24th-floor brandy room, as well as a cocktail terrace with views of Central Park and a dining room with a butler’s pantry and seats for 10. Additional amenities include access to a gym and BHB. Private, a global concierge service with a resident manager.
Adjami’s Neo-Greco Italianate-style townhouse is almost as large. At 6,000 square feet, the six-story renovated home — built in 1870 — comes with six bedrooms, five bathrooms, three powder rooms and 1,798 square feet of outdoor space. There’s also a garden with white hydrangeas and a limestone patio—and a roof terrace with pear trees and an outdoor shower.

Original townhouse details include six fireplaces in the living room and library, herringbone parquet floors, crown molding and 11-foot-high ceilings. The home opens with a staircase and a black-and-white marble-floored foyer that leads to a dining room with double doors that open to the garden. There’s also a chef’s kitchen and, on the parlor level, a large living room with a fireplace, a vaulted ceiling, and a floor-to-ceiling casement window that overlooks the garden.
The main bedroom takes up the third floor and comes with a fireplace and a sunken terrace. Additional bedrooms are on the fourth and fifth floors.
Downstairs, the basement houses a gym, a rec room, a temperature-controlled wine room, and storage.
